With the announcement of the Trio autopilot being able to be used through the HDX. It got me wondering if the models on the Trio AML will get put on the Dynon back burner when it comes to choosing the next model for Dynon's own autopilot. Notably the PA28/32.

So what does the Dynon autopilot do that the Trio can't?

It looks like they had to remove the autotrim function in order to get approval. But what else?

I ended up putting in a Trio autopilot - because the word I got from Dynon was that my aircraft will (probably, most likely, not in my lifetime) not ever be supported ----> 1961 172B.
If you want a bit of background in the Dynon Factory:
at about the 9 minute mark we see inside their hangar with aircraft that they are testing the Dynon autopilot on.
