A couple of things I've picked up which may not be documented (I'll admit to not reading everything):
1) If you hook a Garmin Aera configured as a secondary position source to the SV and use the Aera to select airports or airport frequencies, these will be received by the SV and then pushed to the Comm, in my case an SL-40. In my case, this is easier than using the SV to select frequencies.
2) The SV won't automatically power down when it loses power if their is a significant airspeed. Found this during pitot/static testing. I was doing a leak test and came back some time later and the SV was still ON even after power-down of the master bus.
