While navigating around the world's safest airspace (DC SFRA) yesterday I got a message "Turn too tight". I'm not sure what triggered it or what eventually cleared it. At the same time the GPS distance to the next waypoint (KRMN) was off about 5 miles compared to the 430 and 396. This distance error didn't exist on subsequent or previous legs. This is not a good thing when flying near airspace where the forces of darkness are locked and loaded just waiting for that stealth C150.

Page 7-34 of the user's guide:

"TRN TOO STEEP: Displayed when the required bank to complete the upcoming turn as depicted on the map is excessive."

Basically, you had a flight plan loaded, and the next turn in the flight plan was so aggressive that the system couldn't make a 2 minute turn without starting really far away from the waypoint. This probably came and went because you sped up and the faster you go the earlier it has to turn. It does the calculation on current airspeed.
