Anyone tried to upload User or Black Box data to SavvyAnalysis since Version 12? I get status that says "Uploaded. Processing..." Never goes past this point.

I did not clear user data when I updated so I probably contains SV v11.1 and v12.0 data.

After looking at the User files and Blackbox data with Excel I noticed it did not record todays flight? It recorded the date as 2/14/2015. The GPS date is off by 1 day. This was also reported on a Version 12 crash post.

Looks like in my case any Version 12 data upload to Savvy Analysis fails. The error log says "Parse Log" Missing flight file. I submitted a email to Savvy.

I did -- for 2 of my last 5 User Data Log downloads.  Seemed to crash SavvyAnalysis and make my account temporarily unusable.

I did not clear user data when I updated so I probably contains SV v11.1 and v12.0 data.
Not the case with me -- all logs were from v12.0. I did notice that these two logs were fairly large: 9 and 15 MB IIRC.

I've also seen the off-by-one date error in at least some of those 5 downloaded logs (I don't always check) and an additional problem with multi-part files I'll post in its own thread.

And yep, it crapped out my SA account. Hopefully, they'll get it fixed so I don't have to re-upload all of my logfiles (this is why I save them on my computer).

What's going on here???

I looked at a Alarm data file from 11.1 and compared it to 12.0. The only difference I noticed was the data under "Session Time" column A. I noticed the time repeats on several occasions. It looks like Savvy uses this to parse out the data. The Session Time is used on all User Data files.

With this and the date being wrong, I believe Dynon has a bug that they will need to address and fix...

A similar problem here.

v12 SW installed, never had an issue with v11.

One 4MB flight loaded okay but showed the date as 14 Feb whereas it took place on 15 Feb. Files all showed 15 Feb apart from on Savvy.

The next two flights refused to upload successfully coming up with the 'parse log' fail message. I tried both User (15MB) and Black Box (9MB) logs.

Not a major issue as such but thought I'd better add another voice to the 'issue'.

No problems with SV crashing after downloading the data and USB sticks are the same as I've used since the data logging began.

Another voice.

V12 ALWAYS crashes right after downloading user data to the same USB stick that I have always used without problems.

Savy A account now corrupted. Was able to look at V12 files for a bit, then got the "Oh no" message.

Sounds like Dynon needs to work with Savvy to get this sorted out...so far, I'm not getting much back from Savvy Analysis other than they're looking at it (and/or having their software engineer look at it), and we're seeing virtually nothing from Dynon on these forums.

What gives here? I sure don't want to have to start importing this file into Excel and making my own plots :)

I just re-submitted my last week's worth of User Data log files to savvyanalysis.com and all were accepted this time.

The "off-by-one" date issue is present of course -- unfortunately that's built into the log files.  But apparently Savvy Analysis is successfully parsing v12.0 files now.

I got word last night from Savvy they had disk space issue. They have corrected and the files will load now. The "off by one day" is still there.

Confirming the off-by-one date in the data file...my return-to-service flight after annual condition inspection was on Monday, 2/16, but the start of that flight is showing in the raw data file (imported into Excel) as

2/15/2015 22:23

ETA:  Actually, the flight portion starts later, but SA shows the start time as
2/16/2015 00:00

??? *Precisely* at midnight?

And the logfile shows a jump of 10 seconds starting just prior to that point...

Specifically, it looks like this:

Thanks for the heads up.

Just uploaded the recent flights and it all went as normal onto SA. Date still one day slow though.

More good work by Dynon and SA :)

Hey all,

Please accept my apologies on this.  The issue has now been fixed. Long explanation follows for those that are interested.

As I mentioned to all of you that filed tickets, we had a partition run out of disk space sometime around the 16th. That went unnoticed and some new uploads would fail because of this - particularly large ones - but not a massive number that we'd notice in our daily reports and do something about. (People upload all sorts of crazy things that fail so we expect a certain number of failures every day).

Additionally, the database was using this partition to store some temporary indexes from the main flight table, which was then causing an internal server error every time you tried to view your flight list, but again this was somewhat inconsistent across users, so we did not notice higher than normal activity in our crash logs.

In any case, it looks like clearing up that partition has fixed things, and we've made our cleanup script a bit more aggressive. We're getting so many files uploaded every day, yet that cleanup script was designed for when we had a handful of users when we started a couple of years ago.

Sorry about the inconvenience.  I assure you that you don't have to go back to Excel. ;)

As usual, if you have any issues, please report through the ticketing system, and we try to get to those as soon as we can. We get a lot of requests, but we do answer all of them.

Thank you so much, SA! It's great to see a company provide full explanation like that...and to act so promptly to chase down an intermittent bug. Excellent customer service!

Thanos - no need top apologise!

You lot at SA provide a fantastic service and it was obviously just a coincidence that the issue occurred just as we all loaded V12 SW.

Thanks for the explanation and keep up the good work. :)

Confirming the "off by one day" issue here as well. No other problems uploading to SA though.
