Has anyone replaced the Dynon stock USBA to USBA panel mount cable with a USBA to USBC panel mount cable?
There are a number of these starting to appear on the market. I am considering replacing the USB-A/A and moving to USB-C memory chips, mainly because my ancient (2012) computer died and was replaced with one that has only usb-c ports and the SanDisk UltraFit chips have very slow write speeds. This combined with adapters that stress the USB ports on the new computer and the faster write speeds on the USB/C chips have my attention.
SanDisk ultra-fit USB-A 32 GB chips are self-throttled on write due to their limited heat dissipation capacity when writing. Although SanDisk and others widely report read speeds, very little is said about write speeds which is significantly slower in prolonged write operations. So, I'm at the point where I'm considering this change.
