USB current spec

Dynon Support: please tell me how much current the SV-D1000 USB connector(s) can source?  I understand only one USB device may simultaneously be connected but would like to know how much total current is available.

Technically, 2A. You can only use one USB stick at a time because of software, but you could pull current from the other USB ports if you really wanted. Just because it is 2A doesn't mean that devices will pull this since they can only negotiate 500mA.

However, please read this and decide if you really want to use your $$$ EFIS system as a USB power source instead of a $5 12V to USB converter:
