The Directions from Dynon says to make a folder on the USB with specific capital letters "SkyViewUS"  which I did.

However, the Seattle download created it's own directory "ChartData"  and put all the information there, and left the "SkyViewUS" folder empty.

Is this going to work, or do I need to transfer the files over to the "SkyViewUS" folder?     I don't want to make 2 trips to the airport as it is 40 minutes each way.

The empty folder allows the Windows program to find which drive to use to put all the data on.

So I made an empty folder just for some sort of labeling?

Essentially, yes. The folder you create is used by the Seattle Avionics program to identify a device that should have the chart data installed - but the chart data does not go into that folder.

I was having issue downloading a couple of months ago after 2 years or so of no issues.
The Seattle download software takes care of getting the USB prepared for downloading. No need to create the folder names.
I found by reformatting the USB and starting over the issues went away
