Does anyone know if you can set IAS while using VNAV approach? I haven't really tried doing it yet, but wanted to see if anyone else has tried that...

Thanks in Advance,

No. When you're in VNAV, you're following a glideslope, and the only control the A/P has is the pitch control. YOU use the throttle to control IAS. If we had autothrottle...

There is a setting in (the auto pilot setup) that will allow you to change the decent rate % percentage on the vertical nav to match the the decent rate of the approach, this will give you the calculated decent rate, so that you can manually adjust the vertical speed decent to match.

But speed is your responsibility I am sure.
