V14 Update misake

I think I made a mistake. After successfully updating to version 14.0, I updated my transponder firmware per Installation Guide Rev W. After performing the update, carefully following the instructions, I continued reading the instructions which then told me not to update if I had GPS250, GTN providing position to the XPNDR and current firmware.
Now, I am no longer 91.227 compliant. What to do?

Bob,
If you have a GTN providing position to the transponder, you didn't need to update, but there's no issue if you did. If you aren't 91.227 complaint now, you weren't before.

Is the transponder status showing not 91.227 complaint? If so, what is the reason it is giving?

I assumed I was compliant because of the FAA status check on my ADSB-out report that I recently got. The message in the Transponder Setup Screen is: USA 91.227 Compliant: NO
"No GPS Data or Skyview GPS Data Misconfigured." I was in the hangar without GPS reception--could that be the only problem?
Thanks

Yes, lack of GPS lock will cause the message. You aren't compliant when you don't have a GPS lock. Unfortunately, the transponder doesn't report if it's missing all GPS data or if it just isn't locked on yet so we can't be more specific.

All is well. I rolled my plane out of the hangar to get a good GPS signal and within about a minute the message "91.227 Compliant: No" switched to "Yes."
Thanks Dynon, I was a little worried there for a while. I especially appreciate your quick (SUNDAY!) responses. I'm looking forward to trying the new V14 features soon.
