Upgraded both 7" screens per instructions - i.e. installed software update on both units individually and then updated the nav & obs databases on 1 and it x-filled to the other via installed ethernet cable. Took maybe 10 minutes and no issues.

Cycled thru the various pages (PFD/MAP/ENG) and all LAYOUT combos taking screeen shots of each (Keys #2+#7 together). I just finished looking at them and comparing them to v3.1 screen shots I took earlier.

As far as page layout and fonts v3.2 is a HOMERUN! ;D

Thanks to all at DYNON who helped make my flying experience more comfortable, enjoyable and likely safer.

CHEERS!

The big thing I see that is cool is the panning. You can zoom way out and see basically the entire country then pan across and zoom back in. Because it pans at the same speed across the screen when zoomed out you can cover a lot of ground quick. Very cool! The fonts a stuff were not a problem for me on the 10" screen, and I don't have a backup battery yet, so I had no problems there. The update went perfect, takes a few minutes, then I loaded all the databases. I think I left out the last one, base_map_3.2 dup, because I didn't see state lines. I'll load that tomorrow.

Richard,

I'd like to know what you think of the MAP feature in 3.2. Useful? Cluttered? Inconsequential? etc? Thanks.

The base map today is only political boundaries, and only countries and states, not cities. It really adds no clutter to the system at all.
