A few years back I flew behind a portable GPS that showed Fpm needed at any point to reach the final destination elevation. An example, landing into KSEA at 20 miles out it would tell me -XXX needed to reach that airport altitude, from INFO altitude. The number would increase the Closer at that cruise altitude I got, unless of course I went to a lower altitude.
Is this something that can be put into a wish list. I already put request online last year, but bringing it up again to see if it is still in cue.
Would like it to be an option that could be added/hidden via button so it would not always be on screen on cruise.
Thx

Anywhere map does that. Begin Decent at VNAV= 500FPM. I love it. It will give you the required FPM decent rate to reach pattern altitude at the flight planed airport. Example: If your 8500' and you detestation airport is miles away as you get closer you're notice a number that starts rapping up at 500 FPM. If you start you decent at 500FPM then you will end up at the pattern altitude of the airport. I usually wait until 1000' then start my decent. The numbers will go up until you start down. A little long here, but you get.. :D

When you put it in, let the Skyview draw a string line from the current location or at a point based on desired vertical speed and have the autopilot pitch servo follow the string like a glide slope
