I upgraded to the SV HDX from classic. My video adapter worked just great on the classic, after installation of the HDX my video no longer works. It's plugged into the back of the HDX, the blue light comes on with the camera selected but nothing. Under setup I get the message "Video input setup (not available)". I went through the Setup Configuration. What am I missing??

Maybe one idea: note that the video USB must be connected at startup to be recognized, it's not like normal USB that can be plugged in while the Dynon display is running.

If it's grayed out, it probably isn't recognizing the SkyView Video Input Adapter.

The blue light is on, the only way that can happen is that the module is plugged in before SV in powered up!

I was speaking of the video setup menu being grayed out. I would not trust the light to indicate the adapter has been recognized, if the video setup menu indicates it isn't. USB devices quite commonly indicate a good connection, even when no such connection exists.

This should be better documented, but should be moot soon: Hardware revisions we needed to make because of the supply chain crisis meant that video input is temporarily unavailable on newer HDX experimental displays while we resolve some software incompatibility issues. This fix looks to be targeted at the next software release (not the one that came out yesterday).

Thank you, I use the video camera to keep tabs on my fuel tanks when they get low. I will go back to using the mirror, not for long I hope.
Thanks Dynon
