VSR Activation

VSR appears when I begin flying a flight plan already in the SkyView system and the first leg activates.  But when I upload a flight plan from ForeFlight via WiFi and begin flying, the first leg activates with no VSR appearing.  I have to use the flight plan menu to reactivate the first leg and then VSR appears.  Is this an anomaly or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

I don't have the setup in front of me, but what happens when you do what you're doing but then wait until until SV advances to the next leg? I'm wondering if it's because that first leg is a direct-to leg. Does VSR pick back up once it advances? Or does it always remain in the inactive state you're seeing.

Actually, a colleague had this set up. Yep, there's something up here. Looks like you found a small behavior quirk. As you've found, doing anything to the flight plan will cause VSR to calculate correctly.

Quick! Document it, and call it a "feature"!

I've only ever mucked about with VSR on the GNS430...if my Nav source is the 430, is this feature still available on the SV Map? (I know, I can just go fly and find out, but I'm stuck in the office today :( ).
