What is best Dynon product to sync w/STEC a/p?

I have an STEC 30 Autopilot and just want to use it to sync to a heading (primarily). Is there an HSI type product that Dynon has that would do this? (and documentation to set it up) I am sure that I can get a full Skyview, but am wondering if there are other (lower-cost) solutions. Thanks.

STEC autopilots are generally found in certified airplanes (with the price to match!), and our equipment is experimental only.

I don't believe any of our products can give a heading command to a S-TEC 30.

The cheapest option you probably have is to sell the STEC and go with a D10A and our autopilot. The D10A is a full EFIS, but it's also a dual axis autopilot, with Heading, Track, and altitude hold, as well as GPS flight plan tracking. All of this costs only $3700, vs the $12K the STEC costs.

Even a full 7" SkyView doing an autopilot and EFIS is only $6,500.

I'm in similar situation with a STEC 30 Autopilot(you know the turn coordinator type) which is currently talking to a DG KG107. Just wondering if there has been any updates on whether the skyview can send any output signals that would be compatible with the autopilot. Is the NMEA data suitable for this autopilot & if so what is involved changing over?

Cheers
Brendan

NMEA OUT Serial Data Formats
NMEA output data consists of industry standard NMEA 0183 Version v4.00 sentences. A reference for Version 4.00 of the standard can be found here:

NMEA OUT (BASIC)
NMEA OUT (BASIC) serial output data consists of GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC, and VTG sentences nominally output at a rate of 1 Hz. The rate is reduced if necessary to transmit the entire set of data at the selected baud rate. This format outputs GPS data for position, speed, altitude, and heading.

There have been no updates to SkyView regarding the NMEA output available in SkyView since our earlier post on this subject.
