What is that Pink line?

When I enter a destination I get a Pink line on the vertical speed tape. What is it?
I'm attaching a screenshot with the line circled.

no photo but I'll guess that is the Vertical Speed rate line.If you kept the descent line on that pink line you would reach the destination (assuming presets- 1000ft above and 1 mile away)

Can the target altitude and/or distance be changed? Will we be able to assign this for enroute waypoints to assist with vertical navigation on IFR flights? I was really glad to see this addition. Just wondering about enhanced usability.

user guide 7-59- “MAIN MENU > MAP > MAP MENU>VS REQ’D OPTIONS”

This is only for destination and not waypoints.

The distance before and altitude above can be changed.

It only works for items that are your last airport in a flight plan. Other things like a fix or VOR don't have altitudes in the database so we can't do vertical speed to them.
