What triggers Data Logging to Start

Sorry if this has been discussed, I looked and searched, no joy.

If I want to record data from some experiments with my fuel pump, throttle and mixture. What triggers the system to create a data file?

The data logging runs any time SkyView is powered on and is stored internally. There are no triggers to start and stop it. The file is exported to USB only when you ask it to in the setup menu, and it exports all the data it has at that time.
