Last July, during my annual/conditional inspection, my mechanic replaced my fuel pressure transmitter.  I don't know if there's any connection, but since then, I'm always showing ROP and never LOP, even after bringing the mixture back to engine starting to run slightly rough, and then approaching peak EGT from the lean side.

Maybe 5 months ago, my fuel pressure started to become erratic, either pegging out at full high, or full low.  The flashing warning was driving me bananas, so I had to disable it.  Now lately, the fuel flow is going bonkers, being all over the spectrum.  What's happening Dynon?

Which fuel pressure sensor was it? If one of the older silver bell shaped VDO style sensor - we weren't happy with the reliability of those and have moved away from them. It might have been its time. If one of the newer Kavlicos, readings like you're seeing are a lot less common.

Fuel flow sensors are generally reliable, but if debris is caught in them, that can affect the impeller. So can changes in the fuel system and things like vapor in the line.

In short, though, unless more than those things are misbehaving, it doesn't sound like an actual problem with the FlightDEK-D180 from what you're describing at this point.
