I just got the usb to serial cable from dynon in the mail. Unfortunately, the driver disk is a small cd, and I cannot use it in my slot loading imac (running windows xp). Where can I download this software? I looked in the download area of support, but did not see anything that said usb to serial!

Thanks. Downloadad it. However, it beeps at me when I run it, says it is unable to execute the specified command line!

:(

seriously - how do I run this software!??  I drove across town to work where I have a tray loading computer.  Put the mini CD in, and found the serial to usb folder, emailed that back home, drove back home and tried to run it - same exact error message.

WTF???

I am blocked from using this cable, until I get the drivers for it.  This 'install software' WILL NOT WORK. Can you please send me the drivers 'in the raw' or in some form that functions?  How do I manually install them?  What do I do now?

Getting pretty frustrated up here!! ;-)

We didn't design or manufacture that cable, so we don't have more drivers than the CD you were sent. It's an inexpensive, of the shelf cable that we provide as a convenience to our customers.

We have thousands of customers that have used this cable, using this CD. So what you are experiencing is unique. I realize that XP on a mac shouldn't act any different, but that's about all I can guess at.

All I can really say is to search online for the drivers. I'm sorry, but we don't have more than we pointed you towards. If you really can't get it to work, go buy another cable from radio shack, wal-mart, or just about anyplace that sells computers today. We'll refund your money for the cable if you really want to send it back. Any USB-serial cable will work, but be aware that 75% of them out there use the exact same driver.

actually, I figured out how to install them late last night. I restarted in safe mode, and they installed no problem. No idea what the conflict was with, but they went in, and now are port 3.
