I have 2 x 10" SKYVIEW with Auto Pilot. 1 x SL30 NAV/COM. 1x GMA240 AUDIO & a hand held portable GARMIN 495 GPS. How would you configure this arangement and why. The SL30 & VOR i understand, but what I'm not sure on is, AP to follow Dynon GPS or Garmin 495 gps. I would prefer to use the Garmin gps for flight planning at home - plug it in and away I go!! But it seems that Dynon's GPS it quite good also!!! Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

You can also do at home flight planning with the Skyview using any software that will output GPX files. One thing the Skyview flight planning has over other NAV sources is anticipated turns.

So you can hook up both, and then switch between the SkyView and 496 as the nav source by using the NAVSRC button under the PFD menu. So basically, you can try it both ways!
