I recently ordered a main wiring harness for my DEK-180 from Aircraft Spruce and I noticed on their email order conformation that they are sending me "10-01158 DYNON EFIS-D10A WIRING HARNESS". Will this work with the DEK-180 ??? Also I would like to order an OAT probe from you for it as well but which should I get ....the $37.00 one or the $65.00 one ????? :-?

Thanks,
RMP

The wiring harness for the D10A, D100, and the EFIS side of the D180 are all the same, so Spruce must just have the old description in the system. That is the correct item.

We recommend the EMS OAT probe (the $37 one, P/N 100433-000) when using the D180. It's cheaper and easier to wire in, but either OAT will work.

Keep in mind if using the EMS OAT probe that it will use one of the THREE General inputs available to you. IF you need those 3 for trim indicators or carb temp you will want to run the OAT probe thru the EFIS.

DYNON, please do a better job selling that to your customers.........your ads make it sound like you can hook up unlimitied inputs to the EMS. IF more general inputs can't be added to accomadate all the things you suggest in the ads,,,,,,,,,,please state that so the consumer is aware of it prior to buying or laying out a panel for the EFIS/EMS.
