My classics screen went out, dynon rebuilt it for me and after reinstalling it the wifi is not working, and yes the wifi dongle is plugged into one of the USB ports on the back of the classic. Does anyone out there have any insights?

Your serial data setup was probably erased. Have you done the serial data setup on page 26-2 of the install manual?

I'm not an iPad expert, but try TCP first. USB port shouldn't matter.

OANP was added as part of software version 16.4.

Now that I look more, 26-1 and 26-2 are for data log output via wifi. That's probably not your issue. I'll look a bit further when I can.

Can you be more specific about the wifi not working? Is the iPad not seeing the Skyview wifi? Is it seeing it, but not connecting? Etc.

And by the way, if Dynon rebuilt your display, the wifi dongle password was probably erased. That's in the system setup menu, page 3-12 of the current install manual, and instructions starting on page 15-11.

The list of changes in the install manual for 16.4 says it added OANP to the wifi and ethernet section, so I took that to mean it was part of the software version. Either way, it's on page 26-2.

True, but it's interesting, and it does beg some questions. Maybe Dynon will offer a relevant comment here at some point.

So for general wi-fi setup, none of the serial options matter. Those are for the deeply technical folks that are looking to do custom data collection, which also can be streamed over the wi-fi pipe. App connections are handled transparently. But it won't work if Wi-Fi isn't setup, which is the mostly the case. So you likely need to check (and probably re-setup) everything in the Wi-Fi setup menu not in the deeper serial menus.
