Will DynonServos fly you down the glideslope?

I am unclear as to what is required in order for the dynon servos to make my airplane descend while on an ILS or GPS approach in order to stay on altitude during an approach.

Does the altitude information come from the D100 (or Skyview) and the heading come from the connected GPS box. Also, does the GPS box need to be WAAS for the altitude to be controlled by the servos during the approach)

For example, with a D100/KLN94, will the autopilot control my altitude during the approach, or.....
Do I need a Skyview/G430WAAS for the altitude to control my altitude during the approach?

The combination of equipment to do what you're describing (Glideslope) is a SkyView System with AP in EXPERT mode, with a certified GPS or NAV providing the glideslope data to SkyView. The GPS or NAV provides the guidance, the SkyView AP controls the servos.

Our older products, such as the EFIS-D100, when connected to a certified GPS or NAV will display the glideslope, but the EFIS-D100 AP cannot fly the glideslope.

Hi.

I have a Skyview D1000T with the non-certified SV-GPS-250, AP panel and servos. Will I be able to use this to fly an instrument approach and the glide slope in expert mode? If so, is there a procedure written down somewhere?

Many thanks
Carl

The Skyview system will only fly the vertical portion if that is provided by a certified IFR receiver normally through an ARINC adapter. Your system will fly the lateral portion of the approach although it is not legal to do so in IFR conditions unless the information is provided by a certified IFR navigator.

Thanks.

I wish the dealer had made this clear when I chose the SV-GPS-250 over the SV-GPS-2020. So, if I trade up to an SV-GPS-2020 I'll be able to get the glide slope?

The 2020 only affects ADS-B compliance and does not change any other features of SkyView. SkyView is not an IFR certified navigator and thus will not create glideslope or glidepath guidance, and thus SkyView's autopilot will not fly a glideslope unless equipped with a 3rd party IFR GPS or NAV radio is attached.
