I just read on the site that Dynon is saying to disable DSAB on legacy two screen systems due to a dual screen rebooting issue. The DSAB functionality is very important to me. Will the next firmware update solve this issue and allow DSAB to be enabled for IFR flight?

First off, this is ONLY if you have TWO EFIS units networked together AND an AP74. It's not any system that has two units, and not just two EFIS units unless you have the AP with the AP74.
This is fixed in the 5.3 software release, which is currently in beta and is being reported to work well.

5.3 also improves performance of the autopilot. There are no additional "features" in the release however.
