In the manual it says :"The display of winds aloft requires an active GPS connection and an OAT probe."
My OAT probe is located inside the cockpit on the floor under the seat as we fitted it outside and the exhaust severely affected the readings.
Does the OAT have to be mounted outside of the aeroplane for this to work correctly and why do you need the OAT?
