Software update 16.0.1 killed getting winds aloft data over ADS-B. When will Dynon put out a fix to get it back? It comes in right handy for cross county work.

Long-time user here...patiently awaiting a fix to restore what previously worked very well.
Winds Aloft via ADS-B IN..... Very useful to us who actually use our SkyView's to travel.
Will gladly forego gimmicky things like "Highway in the Sky" for more practical features like winds aloft.

"Same", on the Winds Aloft. Currently running 16.0.1. I see winds @ 3000ft/dir/speed, only. I noticed it this past week on X-Country to Okla./Texas/Tennessee. (N212S)

Where are u missing this info on your screen? I just flew up to Tennessee and my SV was indicating wind direction and speed as well as the crosswind component. Wonder if im looking at the right thing?

Yep - you are looking at the wrong thing.

When you go look up a METAR or TAF for an airport, winds aloft forecast is included. This provides (or at least use to provide) wind speed, direction and temperature for that area, in a table up to flight levels. Great for planning ahead on what altitude to fly to optimize winds.

You need ADSB IN capability... This gives your weather and TAF info.
Look under MAP:INFO and cursor right to Wx.... From there you can see most recent weather and winds aloft.
As Carl said, SkyView used to display a table of winds aloft. Very useful for evaluating best cruise altitudes.
With the latest firmware revisions... this feature was truncated... only 3,000 winds info is presented.. and that appears to be frozen.

Dynon? Where are you?? :)

I am waiting for this gets resolved before updating SW. At this rate, sounds like this is something to be taken up with Dynon at Oshkosh. In the past Dynon has been great, but it seems they are loosing focus.

The winds aloft fix is in for the next software release, which is out sooner than you'd think. We should have some more news to share as Osh rolls around.
