Dynon Support,

Can I use the EMS 37 pin Harness, for a Skyview, Pin # 1 (voltmeter input) coming off a 5 amp breaker (Alternator) for the power to 2 separate Centroid  resistive Fuel probes?

Fuel Probes:
Power Pin 1 ??
Ground
Pin 20 (left) or Pin 21 (right)

Thanks  Tim

Tim:

First... resistive fuel level sensors, in a SkyView system, are generally NOT connected to power. Instead, one terminal is connected to an SV-EMS-220 general purpose input, and the other terminal is connected to ground. Then configure that general purpose input as a LEVEL sensor. Details are in the SkyView System Installation Guide.

Second... Pin 1 of the 37-pin connector of the SV-EMS-220 is a voltmeter INPUT. It does not / cannot supply power.

If you want to "tap" that line to use the voltage being supplied TO Pin 1, that could probably be done (it's UNusual to do so...), but doing so may affect the accuracy of the voltage measurement.

If you really do need to supply this particular fuel level sensor with power, we recommend you check out SkyView System Installation Guide, Page 7-12 for details about SV-EMS-220 Pin 15 which provides a regulated 12V output for sensors such as fuel level sensors.

Dynon,

As usual, you are correct - the probes are Capacitive probes!! Understand do not use Pin # 1 to tap into for power.

I currently have Pin #15 for the my Fuel Flow power.  I can easily run a separate line from power bus to power the Capacitive probes.  Thanks  Tim
