I've been installing the D-100 this morning and to my surprise the remote compass was not found. After some head scratching and continuity testing I found that the factory supplied wiring harness had been put together incorrectly. Two pins from the altitude encoder and the remote compass had been swapped position.
Pins 23&21 had been swapped. Additionally pins 12&13 had been swapped.

Sorry for the problem. If the harness is one of our OEM-supplied harnesses, and you'd like a replacement directly from the factory, you can get in touch with www.steinair.com directly. We can also issue you an RMA directly if you haven't fixed the problems on your end.

To help prevent this, our next installation manuals are going to have stronger language encouraging continuity checks across every pin/wire pair to ensure everything is as it should be.

Thanks for the feedback. Everything is fine now. I was able to move the pins to the correct location using the provided tools. I just wanted to highlight the problem incase anybody else was having the same problem.

Good advice. Do a continuity check before cutting anywires.
