Hi I have an SV32 roll servo driven by the D10A. It will hold heading reasonably well, but in even light turbulence it will slip. Nav and track mode cause a fair amount of slippage. I have lubricated everything in the aileron linkage, the controls feel good and smooth. The breakout force/airload may just be too high for the SV32. It passed all of the ground tests.

I also have an SV32 that I am planning on installing for pitch. Do you have any guidance on which servos work best in the Tailwind? I am starting to believe I will have to go to the SV42. Should the SV32 be adequate for elevator?

thanks,
Valerie

Double check that you have the torque setting turned all the way up on roll. But yes, it sounds like you might need a larger servo there.

I'm afraid we don't have a well-verified servo rec for the tailwind pitch axis.

We have since upgraded the SV32 to the SV42 on the Wittman Tailwind. The SV42 works perfectly as a roll servo in the Tailwind. Able to maintain heading, track in turbulance.
