I have imported data from my Skyview into a Numbers (Mac) spreadsheet. I am trying to do some averages for rate of climb at various airspeeds etc. Unfortunately SaavyAnalysis does not seem to do this...

The + and - signs within cells are giving me syntax errors when I try and average a column. It seems to think the cell contains text, not a number.

Is there a way to remove the + and - signs in Numbers?


Suggestion: It would be easier to work with spreadsheets on the data if the + and - signs were in a separate column...

the .csv (comma separated value) files read into Excel without any problems. I would suggest experimenting with the import function you are using to get the .csv files into the MAC spreadsheet. Moving the sign of the numbers to a separate column would make the import process that is now trivial much more cumbersome.
