OIL TEMP ERRATIC AND READS HIGH

I have read several posts that identify the Dynon supplied oil temp sensor as a problem. I have a Skyview Touch and my oil temp has begun to read high to off the scale and everywhere in between. The resolution appears to be replacing the sender with the 2 wire GRT unit which I have done. I assumed the grey wire was the sender wire and the black wire ground. When powered up the oil temp reads -14. Anyone know the fix for this? I assume its a configuration issue but I don't see a way to solve it.
Thanks,
Brad

Did you set your connected sensor up as type 3 on the GP contact you connected it to?

The GRT sensor has different resistance values to the original Dynon one.

You are correct about the black wire being ground. I would run it back to one of the EIS grounds.

Always connect to the EIS/EMS grounds - you can pair up the grounds if there are not enough individual grounds available - that absolutely minimises the probability of ‘issues’.😉
