    Handcuffed on BU Battery test

I do know the system needs to have a good GPS fix to establish the time/date of the testing, so be sure you have the avionics tuned on and a good GPS fix. Don’t know if that’s your issue, but thought I’d share that tidbit of information.

Daynon HDX Faults: erratic Indication about Rotax912iS engine

Mine has always shown the same thing now for five years. I thinkit’s got to do with the redundancy in the Rotax 912iS engine, at least that’s what I’ve always contributed it to.

Also, if you opened the diagrams previously, pressing the right knob will bring up the most recently viewed plate.

    Caution!

The AP disconnect switch is a normally-open contact. The resistor provides a low current flow to the AP module, which apparently is how it differentiates a completely open circuit due to a broken wire from a good circuit through the low current flow; at least that’s how I believe it works. So...

    Caution!

That was happening to me too. Dynon support pointed me to the setting that senses if the autopilot disconnect-switch wire is broken. I didn’t have the resistor connected across the switch and turning off that setting did the trick for me.

    Seattle Avionics

Haven’t checked this morning, but I had the same issue last night. Maybe still recovering from Air Venture?

    Some ADS-B targets not showing.

This happened to me too. I have rationalized the issue to the filters on the HDX vs. my iPad application. Don’t mean to hijack your thread, but my bigger concern is why the traffic altitudes showing on my iPad can be as much as 500’ different. I’m under the impression the HDX is feeding my...

    Emergency glide test findings

I have to believe there is intellectual property that prevents Dynon from simply copying what Garmin or others have done. The challenge is being creative and still having something of value.

After update HDX 16.7 issue with ems

When you perform an update, a backup file is created and your settings are saved there before the update is copied to your HDX. You’ll need to move it to the root directory to reload it.

WiFi adaptor not talking to iPad

Not sure what the error message would be, but if you have multiple HDXs, you need an adapter for each HDX. Just a guess.

    ADS-B PARTIAL

Same issue flying around the Charlotte and Columbia, SC areas, as high as 11,500 and still ADS-B PARTIAL. Occasionally see ADS-B OK, but not very long. Don’t know if we’re missing something on our maps, but traffic seems to be showing - at least some of it?

Skyview HDX ADS-B Traffic disappears then reappears

There is a setting in one of the setup menus to turn off TIS traffic, that’s what I did, but can’t remember under which settings menu it’s located. Just look around and you’ll find it, or I’m sure someone who knows will chime in.

    Ray Allen trim calibration

Regarding your last issue with run time, sounds like it’s the “runaway trim” feature that you’re activating. See the User Guide.

Wonder if your geo reference issue is the problem with the latest database update? If you downloaded it before they fixed it, you may have to delete them and reload...

Skyview HDX ADS-B Traffic disappears then reappears

That’s what I do. You do need to review the Van’s readme file for any changes you may need to implement manually. For example, one of the settings changes they made for the iS was to eliminate the yellow range from the fuel pressure widget. Since I didn’t use their update file, I had to...
