    Failure after software update

Ok, unless you’ve removed the backshells & THEN did a gentle pull test on the wires, you’ll never know if the old cable was the issue. Using a DMM to test connections, just tells you the wire & connections are either good or bad, however there have been instances where the pins/sockets were not...

    AP won’t hold alt

The calibration process will fix that - eg when it ask which way the tab moves - there’s the clue 😉 You do not need to reverse the wires with the Dynon system at all.

    ADS-B PARTIAL

Actually there’s a lot of books, c ya later alligator 🤣 it’s still the English language like u speak, just a little different - well, a lot different, maybe 😁

    ADS-B PARTIAL

I gave a friend in Oregon a booklet of ‘Aussie Slang’ - he’s a changed man 🤣🤣. Now no one understands him. Be careful out there😂

    Failure after software update

Do as the fault suggested - check pins 1 & 6 on the network cables. I’d start first with any network cables you made up as you may have missed making sure they locked into place 😉.

    Fahrenheit or Celsius

Fill your boots either way 😁. A lot of us use Fahrenheit for everything except O.A.T. & psi so that we can use an online program like Savvy Analysis to check on engine data etc.😉

    Enable Dynon Skyview for Ozrunways

Just enable it - don’t overthink it 😉

    ADS-B PARTIAL

Correct, in Oz the best you’ll get at this time is ADSB PARTIAL. IF you are seeing other traffic then your system is working.😉

    ADS-B PARTIAL

Correct again Rhino - its a big (almost size of USA) country that has ~ 10% of your population, so a ‘full’ ADSB result is not going to happen any time soon - at least we have some coverage at lower levels near the higher traffic areas. “Looking out” is still a good option IMO.

    760 Transceiver fail

What jnmeade said & further elaborating my post #8 - check the pins at the ends of the coax BNC fittings. The pointy end of the pins should be closely aligned with the end of each BNC & there is continuity without cable centre conductor shorting to ground. Wiggle the cable ends while checking...

    760 Transceiver fail

Hi Gregg - you can DM me if you like. Given the number of 760 units ‘out there’, & possibly no similar reports, I figure 3 in a row for 1 user indicates to me there most likely is an airframe issue. Although you confirmed no ‘shorts to ground’ what I suggested was finding out if there was power...

    760 Transceiver fail

So now we know the ‘fault’ is not a radio failure but a wiring/airframe issue - very sorry to be so blunt however you really need to double check the wiring & start at the wiring connector with it disconnected from the radio - 1. Turn the radio power on 2. Using a multimeter (ground the negative...

    760 Transceiver fail

Gregg - my money is that the issue is not with the radio itself but more likely a wiring/antenna/coax cabling issue if your 3rd one fails then you’d have to agree IMO. I have never heard of a similar issue with the Dynon radio like Rhino & we’ve been here a long time. This is an example of what...

D180 with a very lazy DI

Check out the D25 connector on the D180, there should be pins fitted at 11,12,23,24, if not then no Magnetometer fitted - if there is a magnetometer connected then a search will eventually find it - good luck 🤞.
