I have two HDX's with an Avidyne 440. My last two flights shooting instrument approaches my airplane no longer is depicted on the approaches. If you look at the bottom right of the approach plate it has airplane symbol X'd out. Picture attached. Has anyone seen this?
My installer said he only does on the Mooney's must be that 1 inch space that's tight on that airplane. Now I have Air Conditioning installed on my Bonanza and at least on body parts up high not near the floor we're pretty comfortable. I've started to direct at least one outlet toward the...
I will note that my readings didn't change noticeably with the software upgrade. They both indicate high about 25-27% at full power and about 5% LOP although I'm no expert on the LOP formula for determining % power.
I have an A-36TC with a Dynon Installation including AP. The Avionics generate quite a bit of heat. Legs get very warm even at altitude. I thought about putting Lonestar 3 port or greater in there to move air. I hear and read that the Skyview HDX and the IFD 440 have their own fans. My...
Note: I've read the percent power document from Mr Jordan the Chief Systems Architect. I have an A-36TC with an TSIO-520UB. My percent power at takeoff indicates 125 percent. During cruise LOP it seems to be high about 5% if I compare the numbers to the formula of FF*13.7/Total Horsepower...
Talked with Dynon this morning. They said to test both screens from the audio setup. And check the boot up to see if there is a fail under the audio system. Might be one screen which I guess the master screen changes. Also could have just been wired up to one screen not sure since I did not...
For some reason I am not getting Audio warnings on my Dynon now. Approaching altitude, Leaving altitude, approaching minimums, nor for any engine parameters. I am still getting the 500 ft call on my IFD440. Help!
My lead avionics mechanic wrote back and I quote
The fuel pressure sensor is not on the top of the engine, its at the back of the engine on the Fuel control unit, before the fuel flow sender. I can’t find a picture of that area from the installation- if you send me a picture of the back of the...
Using Savvy Aviation. Also fluctuations are also visible on HDX. ABS technical advisor asked these questions:
Is the fuel flow the same as it was on the other unit that was removed? Yes
The metered fuel pressure at takeoff 36" MP should be 14.4-16.0 PSI. It was approx 15.8 before when we had...
1) We have a Dynon install on an 1979 A-36TC with a TSIO-520 UB turbocharged. Before upgrade FP was 3.2 psi or so idle, about 15.8 psi Max power, and around 6psi LOP cruise. Now with Dynon EMS it's about 4.3 idle, 27.8 Max power and around 7.8 LOP. Other Guru's have mentioned that maybe...
