I found it by doing a search in the editor for aoa_offset and the 2nd hit was it. I changed it from -0.06xxx to -0.15 for starters so I'll see what difference that made next time I fly and go from there. Thanks!
I flew my RV-6A this morning and did 4 clean stalls... The AOA audio tone started at 62 kts each time and continued to get faster until it went solid right before stall at 48.5 kts, so the -0.15 offset definitely made the tone start quite a bit earlier than the -0.06xxx previous offset. I will adjust the offset up a couple tenths to -0.13 to get the tone to start in the mid to upper 50 kt ballpark. Thanks again for the info about the aoa_offset adjustment! 🙏

Heh, it helps to read, more negative means tones start earlier (faster IAS)... I went the other way at first and had no tones until very late this morning :D

edit: I'm aiming to get the tones starting right around approach speed, maybe even 2-3kt above, so I have an audio reference...

This is how I configured mine. The slowest chirp starts at about Vref. The only drawback is that the AOA screams at me during takeoff and on landing rollouts when doing the "wheelie" to keep the load off the nose gear.

Sounds like the inhibit airspeed is set incorrectly:

INHIBIT AOA BELOW AIRSPEED – Allows you to set an airspeed below which no AOA tones are played. This helps prevent nuisance alarms while on the ground and taxiing, especially in tail draggers.
