Just returned from the US. eAPIS, flight planning, customs and weather didn't stop me. Definitely annoying at times, but not insurmountable. In 2020 I'll still fly cross border with the non ADS-B equipment I have. I don't make use of Class A, B or C airspace presently so I don't expect the 2020...

You can set the flap extension speed with VP-X. It complains (audio thru SV) when you exceed Vfe with flaps and inhibits flap extension above Vfe.

So I updated to 15.0.3 but still no joy. I flew a cross country to Kansas and back and have some interesting observations. Not sure but I think something in my SV is broke. The system has a problem loading the network devices on boot.  It would eventually load but with the software mismatch...

I tried the FORCE NETWORK LOAD. All of the modules were reloaded but the EMS is still ver 15.0.2.4690. Things seem to be working although I haven't flown since the update. Going tomorrow. Unless there are problems, I can wait for the next minor update.

No plans to sell it. It was just a project to keep me busy through the winter. No promises but I might do some more work on it this winter. :) :)

Method 2. I just downloaded the single update file for the Classic display.

Ok. I don't fly IFR so I'm just guessing, but the Cross Track info item on the map may be a good CDI. The purple line in the VSI isn't vertical guidance? I couldn't find anything on it in the User Guide. On the Skyview the GSI is outside the HSI so it could be anywhere on the PFD. or MAP...

Geez. I wish I had a D1700. Little big for my panel but I'd make it work. ;)

I'll probably get blasted for this, but it seems like a lot of rhetoric over an archaic gauge. I only look at the HSI out of curiosity. What information is there on the HSI that isn't on the MAP? Other than the MAP is better for situational awareness.

I'm still SOOL. I downloaded a new file which appeared to be the same size as the first file. It won't load. Obviously because it's the same upgrade as what I already have.

I could try that. But the problem is that the EMS software is newer than the latest software 15.0.2.4178. I watched the update and the EMS was updated. So it can't be that it wasn't updated while the rest of the components were. I also watched while the system verified the file before it updated...

I also had a problem exporting the waypoints before I upgraded to v15. v15 cleared up the problem.
