Connecting the ADAHRS to the system?

Great thank you! I like that design too-makes it easy!

Connecting the ADAHRS to the system?

Hi all, I have my EMS module connected to one of the Network connectors on the back of the HDX. In the other connector on the back of the HDX, I have my radio plugged in. Now I have to connect the ADAHRS to the system and the only Network connector I have left is the second one on the back of...

    removing pins from D Sub?

I can't believe the incredibly stupid things I do. Do three of the pins in this connector look different than the rest?? I crimped on male pins instead of female pins. How in the world do I get these pins out now? They clicked nicely in place. Is there a tool made for removing these...

    Dynon Comm Push-to-Talk?

I wanted to follow up in case I can help anyone else out. I'm guessing that almost everyone uses the pre-made intercom harness from Dynon. There is a shielded cable with three wires which is labeled "Radio Mic Out". The issue I was having in the original post was because I had none of these...

    Dynon Comm Push-to-Talk?

OK I found the issue, but now have to figure out how to 'fix' it. I took my D Sub connector apart that connects to the COM-425 and I never installed the wire going from pin 5 to pin 12 on the SV-INTERCOM-2S. I think once I install this wire it will work, however, my intercom has a premade...

    Dynon Comm Push-to-Talk?

When I press the push to talk button, the "Power/TX" light on the intercom goes from green to orange, but TX does not appear on the radio screen. Also, if I key the mike while someone else (like another plane) is talking on the radio, it does not cut them out so apparently I am not...

    Dynon Comm Push-to-Talk?

I rolled my plane out of the hangar yesterday and tested the radio and intercom. The intercom works great, and I can hear airplanes making traffic calls at airports 30-40 miles away. Not bad for sitting on the ground next to the hangar! But it looks like my push-to-talk might not be working. No...

    No Voltage Indication

Ah that's what I was just thinking! Thanks for the reply.

    No Voltage Indication

I've checked my EMS wiring and the red wire is not connected to anything. If the red wire is for voltage, where does it connect to? I've looked at the HDX D37 pin layout and it doesn't look like it connects to the D37. The EMS itself is powered by the cable that plugs into the EFIS correct...

    No Voltage Indication

My voltage indication is showing 0.0 and I'm not sure why. I'm not sure where the HDX would measure that from-I assumed just from the power wires but is there another wire I'm suppose to connect up somewhere that is used to measure voltage that perhaps I missed? Thank you in advance!

    Headset and Mike Jack Wiring?

OK I've figured out the problem...I'm an idiot. I am looking at the front side of the D Sub connector and counting from left to right pin 1,2,3,4, etc... When counting from left to right, one has to look at the BACK of the connector! So now the red wire is connected to pin 21, just as it...

    Headset and Mike Jack Wiring?

I just thought of something-I think I might have all the numbers reversed on the plug when I'm looking at it. So what I'm thinking is pin 1 would be on the other side and actually pin 13... I'm going to go back and look again...

    Headset and Mike Jack Wiring?

I'm starting with the Co-Pilot Phones wiring. There's a shielded cable coming out of Dynon's intercom harness that is clearly labeled "co-Pilot Phones". The shielded cable has three wires inside-red, blue, and yellow (see pics in my first post above). In order to find out which color...

    Com/Intercom Wiring Questions...

Wiring the radio and intercom seems to be kicking my butt. Mostly because Dynon does not do a good job explaining things in the install manual. In the pic below, you will see a chart from the install manual. It is page 2-3 for reference. Question 1: If you look at the red box I've drawn on...

    SV-COM?

Thanks for the input everyone. A buddy of mine happened to have the Daniels crimper and he let me use it. It works absolutely perfectly with the pins provided by Dynon! It's actually fun making the harness too :)

    Headset and Mike Jack Wiring?

Really?? That's insane! I'm very surprised that Dynon would make a pre-made harness and then make the installer go pin by pin trying to identify each wire. Dynon- do you have this information you can post so I don't have to search pin-by-pin??

    Headset and Mike Jack Wiring?

I did a search but didn't find the answers I needed. I am wiring the headset and mike jacks for a Dynon radio and two place intercom. I am starting with the co-pilot phones jack using the Dynon harness with the shielded cables. As you can see in the pic below, there is a blue, red, and...

    SV-COM?

I'm getting started wiring the comm and intercom. It is required for the builder to build a harness and the D-sub connector and pins are included. What specific crimper do I use for the pins?

    SV-XPNDR-262 White Wire? Ident?

rvator51, thanks for the reply. You are 100% correct. Now I feel stupid! I didn't notice there was another white wire called out for the certified GPS! Thanks again...

    SV-XPNDR-262 White Wire? Ident?

Yes I am using the supplied SV-HARNESS-XPNDR. I just purchased the HDX, transponder, comm, adsb, gps, etc... about two weeks ago directly from Dynon. It's almost hidden in this pic, but the harness has a white wire coming out of it along with the others. (I have cut the yellow and green as...
