Most of this thread is about the optional sectional/plates data from Seattle Avionics. What you’re describing is the aviation/obstacle data from DYNON. You saw an expired message because it would appear you installed it on 1/27 -the date it expired. Since you now should have 15.4.7 installed...

Monday morning QB here- did you try using Bootcamp on your Mac? There are still a number of apps that are Windows only and BC has worked well for me although I have not tried installing the SA download app.

Of all the dumb things I’ve said in life and there have been many, this has to be close to the top. :-) A slightly better suggestion MIGHT be unplug everything from the SV and try to get it to boot.

I also have the lifetime and as of yesterday, it worked. Just checked and I see the same problem on the app. Logged in to the web site and it still shows the expiration year of 2099 on my account so I would assume it is a glitch.

All portions of an IFR flight needs to be utilizing an IFR certified device. The 2020 does not qualify.

As of the current software, you can only add waypoints to a flight plan. Probably because the Skyview alone is not an IFR approved device. If you have an IFR GPS, you can include a procedure in the GPS FP and if desired, load the procedure manually in the Skyview at the appropriate time since...

I would take a look at the network status page and see if any errors are attached to a device. If so, I’d detach that device and check the network cables associated with that device. Next step is a call to Dynon. craig

As DBRV10 mentioned, this really should not happen. If it happens enough for you to seek a solution, you almost certainly have a problem. This problem rings a bell with me but I cannot recall what the relatively simple problem was but DYNON was able to track it down via the log files. craig

I have never simulated an under volt bus condition but if I turn off the master, the SV prompts me to either confirm I want it to remain on (using b/u battery) or it will power down. Sounds like a call to Dynon support is in order if your b/u battery passed it’s test.

According to page 2-8 of the installation manual, the SV requires 10v minimum.

Appendix E of the installation manual provides details about the serial data output available. ADS-B data is not included based on what I see. What is your objective? craig

$$$$$ is at least one reason why. Garmin is a huge company (taking in to account all of their businesses) with margins that would make your eyes water. DYNON is by far more driven to provide value for the money. Creating simulators that are accurate are time intensive and therefore expensive...
