RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Further to this I put the data upload into Savvy and it showed an Oil Temp drop/spike for 3seconds of 60degrees F which can't happen in reality but it did however give me some sort of lead on where to look. I couldn't see anything wrong with the oil temp sensor connection but I cut the terminal...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Ok...Now uploaded the Data Log files which show that the high/Low RPM fluctations event shown on Skyview screen lasted 16seconds and although the engine rpm was actuallly perfectly ok and didn't actually fluctuate at all I was getting alerts and Indications of High/Low rpm on screen . It also...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Thanks for the thoughts. I am pretty sure though there is no fault on the Rotax trigger coils where the rpm is picked up from or the wiring from the engine at all because the CS Prop controller also displays engine rpm ( from same engine feed wire)and that was perfectly stable at 4800 rpm...

RPM Speed Warning in the Cruise

Hi, Suggestions and thoughts on this problem please.. Bristell NG5. Classic D1000's x 2. Rotax 912uls engine with CS Prop. When flying today I got for a few moments whilst in the in the cruise a repeated 'Engine Speed' warning from the nice lady and could see the RPM gauge was fluctuating wildly...

    Autopilot Wallowing

You need to consider the 'default' settings to be the starting point for tuning the Autopilot. I still keep occasionally tweaking my autopilot settings 5years on!

Trig TY91 not talking to SV Classic

Ahh.. Sorry, I now see you were referring to pins 5 & 6 on the TY91 and not as I thought Pins 5&6 on the Skyview! Apologies.. Alan

Trig TY91 not talking to SV Classic

Hi Rick, Good to see you are at last bringing your Europa into the 21st century! I believe you are connected/configured to the wrong pins:- According to my installation manual:- Serial Port 1 TX should be Pin 3- Brown/ Violet RX should be Pin 4- Brown/ Orange or alternatively:- If using Serial...

Differences between HDX and Classic worth the cost?

Without the Autopilot Knob panel you won't get Autotrim which is a must have IMHO.

    ADSB In and FLARM

Thanks Dynon for that confirmation and explanation. That is exactly what I needed to understand and comprehend. Alan.

    ADSB In and FLARM

I have twin D1000's linked with Ethernet cable. Can someone confirm please that in order to get Traffic from Flarm or PilotAware I need to do indivual Rx/Tx feeds to each D1000 unit? The manual infers this is the case but I don't quite see why when the D1000's they are linked by Ethernet and...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Now in discussion with Don at Dynon about this but just to update this thread:- Further to this.. I flew today 2 x 2.5hour flights today and the Disconnect button worked perfectly!....I must have pressed it a dozen or more times on each flight just trying to provoke it or make it not work and...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Thats a good idea..Thanks for that. The switch is mounted in the centre console and will be awkward to get to but I am sure I can rig something up temporarily without ripping everything apart just yet until I have a proper diagnosis. However, just thinking.. If it is wire break or connection...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Well...My problem as the original poster is definitely not the Shear screw as the Autopilot works just perfectly ok when controlled from the twin D1000's. It is the Autopilot disconnect that is not working as it should. It does not disconnect when the remote button is pressed but shows Pitch...

    Autopilot disconnect button

Hi, After 4years working just fine my Autopilot remote disconnect button has stopped working. The A/P works and disconnects just fine from the twin D1000's in the panel but not when I press the remote button. When the button is pressed with the autopilot engaged I get a 'Pitch Slip' indication...

    Pink Screen of Death

Yes I've had the colored vertical stripes on both of my D1000 screens this past year. One went back to Dynon last April and the other P2 screen has gone back to them recently. Both screens only 3.5years and 150 flying hours from new. To say I am very disappointed with the short term longevity of...

    Airspeed Audio Alert?

I set up my AOA 3years ago, however I can't say that I have ever looked at it or had the aural warning on after the initial experimentation period!

    WiFi Problems on SkyView Classic

I have had this problem on and off for 3years now, not Foreflight but with Flightplan transfer from Pocketfms EasyVfr here in the UK. It is a wifi problem and nothing to do with iPad/Iphone or Android, I have tried them all. It is all the same! I have supplied Dynon with numerous log files and...

    Hardware/software required for autopilot

Add the Autopilot button panel and get Autotrim, which I find invaluable and wouldn't be without, plus also the Autopilot button panel gives you loads more other options.

    SV-42 Servo backlash

Thanks, that is what I think. I'll wait until after Oshkosh and then get in touch with Dynon directly.

    SV-42 Servo backlash

I am pretty sure the shear pin is not broken because the play/wear is actually in the servo...between the spindle and the internal gears and not between the operating bracket and plate which houses the shear pin. What I really want to know is, is movement or backlash in the servo gear normal...
