    Garmin GPS 175 Installation

Same, just had the shop whip up the cable, super inexpensive since I did the whole install except that. Worth it.

    Garmin GPS 175 Installation

If you already have it on the GPS 2020 then I wouldn't bother with it on the GPS175. I just installed my 175 last winter and it was a breeze. Why wire stuff if you don't have to?

Hot key for data log capture frequency?

Good idea. But my pitot heat is always on, have to find another rusty switch.

Hot key for data log capture frequency?

A hotkey for an event marker would be nice too. Something happens and you hit that button to tag the data stream, easier to find later.

Feature request - bigger glide path indication

Especially when you have split screen the glide path indication is so tiny. Attached a photo from work, note the glide path next to the ADI, nice and big. This would be super nice. Note, photo snapped in the sim during training, not in the actual plane on vectors for an approach.

    Pitch servo went intermittent again

About 3 more flight hours and a couple hours in the hangar powered up and no failure of the pitch servo. Yay?

Another new feature suggestion- better LOP function

I can make peak power much leaner that 100º ROP. There's a band from very ROP to near peak that is all power, just changing fuel flow. Timing is doing the job I think. And my LOP operation is a very narrow range. Totally different and more narrow LOP range than my IO-470 on my Bonanza...

Another new feature suggestion- better LOP function

Keep in mind the peak power of abouy 100º rich of peak is only for fixed mag timing. If you have dual electronic like I do then the percent power setting on the EMS is about all you have to go on. Totally different ballgame with adjustable timing.

SkyView A/P & GTN Flight Plan

Jerry, really good writeup, makes things clear. Q3 - The blocks at the top of the PFD are your flight mode annunciator panel. It shows what flight modes you are in, ie HDG, NAV, ALT, VS.... This is a display of what your flight director is doing. if AP is on then you'll have AP in green...

    ADAHRS cross check errors?

Interesting. DId you just update to V16? Have to do the displays separately. Unlike database update it won't crossfill. That's just a guess. Have you figured anything else out?

    Pitch servo went intermittent again

Ran the aircraft last night for an hour, tested both comms for RF interference with the servo without luck. It did fail twice but could not be related to anything I did. Did find a loose wire but pulling it only gave an amber data error, not a servo offline message. Fixed that wire, unclear...

    ADAHRS cross check errors?

Looks like the two displays aren’t talking to each other then. If you go into setup and network status it should show the other display offline (in red) even though it’s on. Perhaps doing a detect network devices will bring it all back. have you done any work on it recently? Wiring...

    ADAHRS cross check errors?

Was the whole aircraft powered up? I have dual screens and get a ton of message if I only boot one. Since it says "other display offline" I assume it wasn't powered. Like the cause of all the messages.

    Pitch servo went intermittent again

Just for info for everyone... Working with David at Dynon. Sent diagnostic files to see if there is anything in there. So far I've been running for 2 hours with no failure. Also, upon his request, I ran several differnt squawk codes through the transponder to look for RF interference. So...

    Pitch servo went intermittent again

History - pitch servo went intermittent last winter, would drop offline and maybe come back cycling the power, maybe not. Once offline if you did a detect network it wouldn’t show up. Pitch servo was overhauled by Dynon last winter. It’s worked flawlessly since including a trip from...

Hey Dynon support, System Event 5 message logged

Dynon can confirm but when I contacted them with this they told me it was covered under warranty.

    Audio Alerts?

You're welcome! Enjoy the new panel, this stuff is awesome. Remember to look outside some time too! But to be fair it's sometimes less cool than the panel. If you haven't seen it watch this - Children of the Magenta I make sure all my new first officers have seen it when they get to the...

    Audio Alerts?

Even IFR my airliner doesn't beep until near 300' off altitude. It's less of a level reminder and more of a "hey should you be changing altitdue right now? Because you haven't pre-selected anything"

    Audio Alerts?

I’d have to dig into the manuals and settings but 200’ is pretty standard across the industry for altitude alerts, Speaking as a 20+year airline pilot.
