Tossing around the idea of upgrading my classic skyview displays to HDX. Since the HDX can tune radios (not push a free but an actual keypad) could I ditch the radio heads and just use the HDX for tuning comm 1 and 2? thanks in advance.

Update. Video adapter replaced with new form Dynon. Still doesn’t work. One thing to check based on their recommendation then shelve the project for another time.

I'll keep an eye out, neighbor's RV is at another airport. That's the only one I have access to. But it would verify it's the Dynon and not the adapter.

Yeah I did everything tech and engineers at Dynon sugessted in addition to the install manual. Also tried different USB cables and USB ports. It's an older Skyview classic but still post-4000 serial number required for this to work.

UPDATE Received new video adapter from Dynon, also does not work. Support contacted. Probably just return it and abandon the taxi-cam project.

UPDATE Stumped the folks at Dynon, everything done correct. Sending the adapter back for testing and possible replacment. Will be extra frustrated if it works for them! See what shakes out.

What if you plug in a stick and try and export settings or something? This would be another check of the USB ports. If that works then we have it narrowed down to import side, if it doesn't work exporting then we know it's the USB drive, port, or stick.

Mine takes a second to un-grey out and show available. Try waiting a minute? Otherwise I'd say reformat the drive and try again, sounds like the USB stick crapped out.

I THINK the Citation XLS did it, can't remember now. And the Dash 8 Q400 allows you to go past the tail too. Certain of that since I teach on it.

Doesn't matter what the wind is...if the compass is off you'll get all sorts of weirdness. Garbage in/garbage out.

Check wire runs yes. Also might need to shield some wires. Check grounds as well on the headphone connections. Bad grounds will ruin everything and can be hard to find.

West coast to OSH and back on 16.0.4. No problems. winds aloft is nice to have back. No squawks
