    Autopilot tuning: Altitude Capture Procedure.

I am seeing unsatisfactory autopilot behavior during Altitude Capture that I cannot find in the tuning guide. In my case the aircraft overshoots and undershoots the target, getting further away from the target on each iteration. In figure 5 of the in-flight tuning guide, (page 5-4), one...

    Problem with displayed winds

I have an HDX screen, and the calculated in-flight winds displayed onscreen are (intermittently), way off. I am often getting 40 to 50 knots crosswind displayed, when the actual winds are nowhere near that strong. What could be causing this? I have my remote magnetometer mounted under the rear...

ADS- B Traffic on Approach plate display?

Yes, I have Dynon ADS-B In, the wifi dongle, and a tablet with iFlyGPS on it, and I can do that. But I am in Rutan Long EZ which has very little room in cockpit, and even my 8 inch tablet blocks out part of my panel, no matter how I mount it, so I was hoping to be able to see the ADS-B traffic...

ADS- B Traffic on Approach plate display?

Is there a way to get ADS-B Traffic to display on top of Approach plates? If not, would you guys consider adding this functionality as a selectable option?

    GRT Oil Temperature sensor

As Marc suggested I simply had to go to the EMS pin "mapping" screen, find the row for pin 7, and change the drop down selection for pin "sensor" to the one for GRT oil temperature sensor....

    GRT Oil Temperature sensor

I had a problem a ew months ago with high Oil Temps, that turned out to be due to accumulated sludge in the oil cooler. Once I sent the oil cooler out to be pressure flushed and cleaned, the problem went away. In the process of discussing this with many folks on this forum and the COBA forum, it...

    SV-XPNDR-261 Mode C (ALT), and ADS-B

GalinHdz, . I have a Long EZ. So the antenna is mounted directly against the fiberglass side wall of the forward fuselage, ( next to where pilots left calf would be). Of course my plane is not all fiberglass. The engine is steel, certain critical structural members are aluminum, etc., etc.

    SV-XPNDR-261 Mode C (ALT), and ADS-B

I have the GPS 2020, but I was under the impression that the GPS is not generating the RF output - It is the transponder that does that, no? The antenna is connected to the transponder, not the GPS, and the only connection the GPS has to feed any data to the rest of the system is through the...

Going to talk to Avionics shop tomorrow morning about this.

    SV-XPNDR-261 Mode C (ALT), and ADS-B

Well, I was assuming that because the Flight Radar 24 system had all the flight data, the only place it could be getting it from is the FAA database that collects ADS-B Data, so my ADS-B system, and antenna, must be functioning properly. The fact that ATC was not receiving Mode C altitude or...

    SV-XPNDR-261 Mode C (ALT), and ADS-B

I had ATC report to me inflight today that they were not receiving my Mode C (altitude data). Intermittently, they also reported they were not seeing any other transponder information. My transponder is a Dynon SV-XPNDR-261 Transponder which includes ADS-B out, and after I landed I went to...

Installation document EMS pin assignment reccomendations

In the installation document, EMS 220 chapter, (on page 7-73), you recommend that a carburetor temperature sensor be connected to pin 23. However, if someone wishes to install two capacitance type fuel level sensors, the document specifies, ( on page 7-61), that only pins 8, 22, 23 or 31)...

    Dynon NAV/COMM???

Have you succeeded in getting the secondary frequency bearing signal to display on Bearing Pointer 2 on Skyview? I read your comment that "secondary frequency on the MGL Vega OBS & tuning head will not display on SV PFD when the N16 standby nav frequency is selected for the SV #2 bearing...

    Erratic EMS voltage sensor

Well, I have identified and resolved the issue. I sent the alternator back to B&C, they checked it, and it bench-tested fine. The only issue they found was a weak diode in the bridge, but they said this could not cause my issue. They replaced it anyway, and sent it back to me, but the problem...

Adding second voltage widget to HDX.

Disassembled the DB37 connector to my EMS-220. Found that indeed, there was no wire attached to pin 2 on the connector. Had to add an additional wire to get the second voltage widget to work. Might I suggest that ALL pins on the DB37 on this wire harness be wired up. At a minimum, where there...

    12V On/Off Inputs

So, to clarify that I understand this, the contact pins on the EMS can operate in two modes: 1. Ground Mode - like for Canopy locked, or Gear/Flap position indicator). Where a general purpose "CONTACT" input pin to the EMS is connected to an on-off switch which is then connected to aircraft...

Add Fuel Tool not working correctly since update

Simple, temporary workaround, until the patch is released, is, after you decide how much fuel you want to add, calculate the total in your head and "add" that amount instead.
