    Checklist page

I don't know how Dynon knows what our preferences are unless we communicate them. Then Dynon can make the decision as to what is done. It is Dynon's job to decide on features, not the job of us on this forum to beat down others so they don't speak their mind.

    Checklist page

I don't understand your point. I've said I had and used a glass checklist. Is there some presumption that if I had one on the SV I now wouldn't use it? I'm not presuming that others should use them - simply stating my hope that Dynon adds the feature.

    Synthetic Vision

I don't know how bodies of water are depicted. When I was doing a lot of primary instruction, I used to caution the students about relying on the shape of bodies of water to verify a checkpoint. Dams don't move, but the lake gets big and small, changes shape and otherwise is untrustworthy. If...

    Synthetic Vision

I spent a lot of time flying synthetic vision at the OPL in Iowa City when Prof Schnell and crew were developing this kind of idea. We flew all kinds of backgrounds, including the squares of different sizes and colors, other shapes, some kind of wire net look and others. The squares was chosen...

    Checklist page

I'm sad to see that the idea of a checklist in SV is becoming a popularity contest. I'd like one for those of us who would use them.

    SkyView 6.0 Autopilot-IFR Capable w/VFR Simplicity

Will the expert signals be standard ones that can be read by generic autopilots or will they be proprietary and only able to be handled by Dynon servos? I understand autopilots like TruTrak will be able to read some Dynon autopilot signals but don't know if they can read all.

Important Update to the SkyView Service Bulletin

I have one I bought nearly two years ago and never installed - sat in the box. I did as Trev suggests. Powered up fine. Passed the first test a few weeks ago but not the second. Got the RMA. :) Will go back in it's original box. Well, it's scheduled to go in this summer so I guess...

What kind of airplane are you flying?

Flight Design CTSW soon to have dual 10" Skyview w/AP & ADS-B. Part of the equipment on hand, designing the panel and buying the rest soon.

    Datalogging

On a dual screen system with two ADAHRS, do you need two USB ports or one? I'm designing my dual screen panel layout.

    frequencies

Couldn't you simply use the Appr/Dep or Center frequency list on the associated approach plate? That would get any airport with an approach.

    Checklist page

I want checklists on the SV and am surprised they are not there. I used them on the EFIS on my T210 and liked them a lot. Please move them up the list. I don't want them on the iPad or tablet.

FPL Transfer/Sharing between G430W and Skyview

    oil temp fluctuation

Yes, mine is an ELSA and I'm prepared to do about anything to get it working right. If I get a fix and the manufacturer likes it, you can bet there will be a lot of pressure for them to issue a fleet LOA. Since I can legally put a 2 wire lead on, which ground pin should I hook it to? I'm...

    oil temp fluctuation

So, you think the vibrating needle movement is not possibly noise on the line or you think that if it is noise the cap won't cure it? You're saying you've tried the two wire probe and it's better in your opinion, or you're speculating that it might be - I'm not sure which you are saying...

    oil temp fluctuation

Has anyone tried a capacitor from the sensor lead to ground? Has anyone tried a two-lead sensor with the ground lead going straight to pin 16 or 17 of the D37 connector?

    Stopwatch and fuel imbal

Do you want to show fuel that is not immediately available to the engine? The Cessna 401 I flew had six tanks. Mains (tip), aux and lockers. You could draw from mains or auxs and they had gauges. You had to pump from the lockers to the mains and the locker tanks had no gauges, just a light...

How can I show fuel added in flight from aux tanks

When I flew a Cessna 401 with 6 tanks, we had gauges on the mains (tip tanks), gauges on the aux tanks and no gauges on the locker tanks. You could draw fuel from either the mains or the aux tanks but you had to pump the locker tanks to the mains. (You had to draw the mains down first to hold...

    Approach "Not recieving Transponder recycle..."

What accommodation do you use when putting a quarter wave ground plane on the interior of a carbon fiber or fiberglass airplane? I understand it affects the properties such that a standard size is no longer exactly right. Do some of the odd shapes theoretically take care of this or do you have...

Error messages + widget size increase

This is true if this is an SLSA. I have a Flight Design CTSW that was an SLSA but I converted it to an ELSA and can legally modify it. Just saying "LSA" may not always be accurate. Saying SLSA would. I've seen you use "LSA" in this sense before so thought I'd mention the significant...

    Approach "Not recieving Transponder recycle..."

I probably misquoted him and won't dispute the Dynon numbers. However, please educate me on why 300mm on a side is an issue? What we'd be talking about is a radius of about 220 mm on the diagonal (center to the point) and about 153 on the perpendicular side (center to the nearest side). Since...
