    Backup Battery Connector

    Why don't you just run a USB port extender from one of the two ports on the back of the screen to the instrument panel, rather than from the USB cable on the harness?  I assume that's okay to do.

    Autopilot- CWS Request

    I'm a long way from flying with my Skyview, but I do like this concept. For example, when you push the AP button on the "G" GFC-700, it comes on in Pitch and Roll modes. It holds your attitude so you can spend more time looking for traffic when departing an airport, etc. Very handy.

    I haven't tried this particular function, but I use my MacBook Pro for most everything.  I'm running Windows XP via VMWare Fusion.  It works great! ;D
