I'm in the process of transitioning to a lithium battery and I though it would be a good idea to monitor the battery temperature. Q: is there a sensor that I could purchase and connect to one of available general inputs in EMS?

While I agree with everything you said I believe that Dynon can't stand still, because the competition keeps on adding new features to their products. Dynon need to innovate and stay ahead to survive.

Those folks https://www.flyonspeed.org/ put together a nice solution, but it requires a free COM port, a luxury I can't afford That's why I'm complaining about the lack of a comprehensive AOA functionality in HDX here

The AOA future that we use in HDX is at best half cooked. No awareness of flap position, no "on the speed" indication whatsoever. Advanced displays use a much sophisticated AOA algorithm and I very much wonder why Dynon would not implement it in HDX.

select VOR station on the info page on HDX, press "send to nav" button N16 receives the standby frequency on the N16 press the right button, and you are tuned to the station

I don't HDX sends the frequency over the Garmin protocol to N16

Did have a look at your photo. Looks like N16 does not communicate with HDX over the com port. Or does it? I would start from there. Once you establish two way connection between the two boxes all will be well. and BTW I'm very happy with the N16, works flawlessly

What type of sensor / device is Dynon using as EMS MAP sensor? Mine has failed at just 150 hours, or so it seems. The MAP widget is crossed. Checked the connector, didn’t notice any physical damage. Looks like I need to get a new one.
