    Erroneous Thermocouple Readings

"I didn't touch or even get near the EMS box, so while anything is possible, I doubt that's it, but I did reroute and rework the probe wiring firewall forward. I have checked that the spade connectors are tight and they are, but I wonder if all the reworking and rerouting might have resulted in...

    Hardware/software required for autopilot

Yes and .....make sure you do a System Configuration so that the Dynon 'sees' the servos, then do the setup of the Autopilot via the menus. That's the basics, there is more in the Install manual. Jake J

    Erroneous Thermocouple Readings

Were the CHT/EGT probes disconnected from the Dynon (brown) harness ? What are the temps displayed for each probe & cylinder ? check your pm's. Jake

    Erroneous Thermocouple Readings

Mark, just a thought here - you most likely don't have a 'box' failure especially as you've just removed/replaced the engine - did you connect the heavy duty ground cable from the engine to the firewall/battery ? Was the EGT/CHT connector removed from the Dynon or EMS module ? Jake

    ICAO Codes for DYNON SkyView

For us, ATC doesn't care about our ADSB IN ability :). This is something that may help from the regulator " ‘EB1’ will be the appropriate entry for the majority of ADS-B equipped General Aviation aircraft"

    ICAO Codes for DYNON SkyView

If we're just talking about filing a flight plan then it should be EB1, IN has no impact on that.

    SFG File Mismatch

Maybe the solution is easier than you think - did you also update the system with the latest .sfg file ? This is from the software update page, right hand side bottom of page - "There are occasional improvements to sensor characterizations. Unless you are using a custom engine sensor...

    ICAO Codes for DYNON SkyView

FYI over here B1 = ADSB OUT on 1090MHz & B2 = ADSB OUT & IN on 1090MHz - I figure the numbers only will/may change eg 978MHz for you guys below 18oooft. I use EB1 here as I only have OUT as a 'approved' system however also have the Dynon -472 for IN ;)

What’s Coming In The Next Software Update?

The proof of that is in the written word - I'd check the install manual;) .... always the latest version.

    Software update

Go ahead with the latest update, no need to do the in between ones. Just follow Dynon’s update instructions, particularly about making sure you don’t lose power to the Dynon when updating.

    Carb Air Temperature

Mike, what engine is this on ? If it’s a Lycoming then you most likely will have to drill & tap the carb body near the Venturi area - mr google is your friend.

    Fuel Pressure Issues

If it’s the VDO type (dull grey body approx 2” diameter) then I’d replace the fuel pressure sensor, they will fail sooner or later - that’s why I always have a spare in stock for customers.

    CHT and EGT spikes

You could try adding the "filtered" adapter to the 25pin dsub connector however the better solution is to return the EMS unit to Dynon & they will modify it - contact support direct. I'll pm you.

    TRANSPONDER STILL WEIRD!

Hey guys, lets get back to the real question, not how much you do or don't know about antennas etc - I'd suggest if you don't have anything useful to add re troubleshooting the original posters problem, then start another topic. He needs focus, not antenna design theory ;) .

    TRANSPONDER STILL WEIRD!

The OP is trying to fix a problem, not discussing size etc of ground plane which has no troubleshooting impact here.

    TRANSPONDER STILL WEIRD!

It's possible that it is a connection that's at fault here if the last thing you did was just add the ground plane - Check the pin in the BNC fitting, make sure it is nearly flush with the body at the opening - in other words not retracted preventing a solid contact. Also check the fitting in...

D-180: calculation of fuel left in both tanks using one FF transducer

kerstens, I have been in contact with Peter however, as this is more about your airframe, rather than Dynon 'issues', I will pm you with some information.

ADAHRS failure and internal error big X screen

There is a lot going on here so there are 2 things I would do -- 1 - Make sure you are seeing all the Dynon units on the System Status screen - if not, then do a system configuration. that may fix it & 2 - Perform the Zero airspeed calibration as described in the install manual.
