Would have done what you suggested except that I already had the 375. Installed it in late ‘19 just after buying the plane to be legal by the ADSB deadline. Bought the plane with no GPS or ADSB.

Yes. Sky view is also able to push frequencies to the Val stby position and sky view displays the LOC/VOR/GS needles if selected as the source. Works as advertised!

Looking for a shop familiar & experienced with HDX to do my first check since install. Don’t want to have to watch the ‘learning curve’ of a shop that has no experience with HDX. Located in Ohio but willing to travel.

I purchased the optional dimmer knob and installed it per the instructions but cannot get it to do anything. I can’t find anything in the manual as to setup instructions.....

Under the heading of ‘be careful what you wish for’ - why would you want this? Flying into different airports with different elevations, you want a different value each trip. Now, if it were a radar altimeter bug, the same height above ghe ground makes sense.

No. Must tune VAL itself and adjust OBS with its knob. Wanted to use the VAL remote unit but Dynon (at the moment) only sends frequency to standby position with no means of flip-flopping the remote. Now that I think about it, maybe I can send freq to then VAL stby position from HDX - will have...

Is this thread suggesting that previous versions of SV could display Jeppesen approach plates but HDX cannot? My HDX displays Seattle’s NOS plates but will not display Jeppesen plates (I did buy a Jeppesen subscription). Anyone know how?

Maybe I misinterpreted this ..... I put the resistor ‘in-line’ at the mag switch - on the wire going to the EMS - right?

In all the jets I’ve flown, you can program the FMS with a transition altitude because they do vary from country to country (especially Europe) but they only provide a message, none switch automatically.

Installing two Dynon com’s - in a Bonanza with both a pilot PTT and co-pilot PTT and a Garmin audio panel. I’m assuming that both comms could be used simultaneously (although a rare event) with the 1/2 feature of the audio panel. 2 questions - 1, do we still use the ‘transmit interlock’...

Interesting thread - I currently have a GNX375 and use Foreflight. Send to panel works flawlessly - and then a change on one is available as a change on the other - both ways. I’m now installing a complete Dynon HDX system - if I ‘send to panel’ - will it go to both the 375 and the Skyview?
