    Waypoint Map Error

Interesting. I was going to get a hold of PocketFMS. Some of their airports are out quite a bit compared to the Canadian VNC's. I wonder if it's the same problem?

    Screen detail

Thanks. Back in the day GIF was a common graphic format. You could make them animated by putting a series of stills together just like cartoons are made. This one is left over from that time. I think it's made up of eight stills.

    Screen detail

At first I thought it was a separate window on the screen. But I agree with Ray. It's just the bottom of the MAP window cut off by the fuel level warning. ;)

Flight track of where i've flown

If you had an Autopilot you could layout a grid to fly. We laid out a course for the Grand Canyon so we could spend the time sight seeing. You could use ForeFlight or Google Earth to layout the course.

Aural alerts for yellow range on EMS widgets?

With dual alternators can you think of a situation where you would need to run on battery power? Alternators are an unlimited power supply. True, they do fail. However what are the chances of the second alternator failing before you run out of fuel. In other words, when the first alternator...

Aural alerts for yellow range on EMS widgets?

Use an EMS pin to connect to the alternator inop lamp wire. It normally goes to ground when the alternator quits working. There doesn't have to be a gauge on the engine page to get the audio warning. If the alarm is set to SELF CLEAR or LATCHING for the contact, the red range will give an...

    Volt meter Stopped showning value

Seems to me that there may sometimes be a 1A fuse on that line the same as on the AMP shunt. Page 7-62 of the installation manual.

Flight track of where i've flown

ForeFlight does have track logs that you can export to Google Earth. There is also another program to convert USER_LOGS to Google Earth: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1424455192

    EGT readings

David - I didn't say the OLC-1 connectors were inferior. I said they came loose. My spade (I stand corrected on the name) connectors haven't come loose in the last 500 hours but now that you bring it up, I'll keep an eye on them. ;)

Tach time shift after changing cruise RPM

I was thinking that didn't make sense. But it does. Tach time is an estimate of engine revolutions. It's just displayed as time. Your times don't add up though. 150 hrs x 60 min x 2350 RPM = 21,150,000 revolutions / 2450 RPM / 60 = 143.9 hrs. Export your settings and search your *.DFG file for...

    EGT readings

My friend had an engine monitor installed in his C185. When the temps acted up he would find that the set screw for the OLC-1 connectors had come loose. Go figure. When I bought some better quality EGT probes a few years ago they came with the OLC-1 connectors. I didn't use them. I crimped on...

HDX 15.3.3 touchscreen failure with VP-X

I have a SV Classic with 15.3.3. I didn't specifically test the entire VP-X interface, but I was turning my ECU on and off with the SV VP-X page to do some configuration earlier this week. So for sure one of the VP-X circuits can be controlled from SV Classic.

    Space-Based ADSB - Diversity required?

We've been watching the satellite based ADS-B. The big concern is the antenna on top (satellite) and the bottom for ground based ADS-B. It's not a simple fix like a COAX splitter and doubles the cost of installing ADS-B. There have been some tests with regular ADS-B equipment with some good results.

    Manifold pressure reading in correctly

The 28" at 7500' doesn't make sense though even if there was a leak. I fly WOT and checked a couple of flights at 7500 DA. I have a MAP of about 22.2 to 22.4. Using the rule one inch for every thousand feet: 29.92 - 7.5 = 22.4. So the best you should get at that altitude (not boosted) is 22.4 or...

    Dynon Certification... not to worry.

Hear Hear. I have a few friends with certified planes watching the announcements with a lot of anticipation. Nice to know they will benefit from the features us home builds have enjoyed for a few years and by the sounds of it we will continue to see innovation with good support at a reasonable cost.
