A couple of things that may be obvious. Your comparing a $70 sensor to a $1000 altimeter so there may be some difference. You're taking into account elevation (ie: 1" for every 1000' ASL). Finally are you using a regulated power supply for the sensor? c37p18 from the EMS.

Could also be a general grounding or power connection problem. The first graph below has a loose alternator connection. The second graph is after it was fixed. Much smoother EGT readings.

Could be a ground loop. I used a different ground bar to ground the avionics. Ultimately they are connected to the same battery but slightly different circuits. Try grounding either the radio or the lights directly to the battery to see if that makes difference.
