    Bread Crumb Trail?

See this post: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1424455192/ You can also upload to SavvyAnalysis and have the logs converted to flight paths on google.

    Sidetone > 0 results in beacon/strobe noise

I have the AVEO Powerburst lights. The installation manual doesn't indicate that the wiring needs to be shielded. With a max 2A draw you wouldn't think they would give off any interference. Having said that, I used the old wiring which was shielded so I can't say from experience that they don't...

    Sidetone > 0 results in beacon/strobe noise

I have a composite plane and had the strobe noise in the headset. It wasn't loud but it was there. It's probably introduced through the radio antenna. My strobe power supply sat within a few feet of my radio antenna. I believe they now place the strobe power boxes out in the wing tip because of...

My voice is really hard to hear when transmitting

f you have some way of checking the draw when you PTT would be a way of checking the radio output. It should draw the full 3A (or whatever it's rated at). The SV AMP gauge should show that without the alternator running.

    Starter Engaged "Light"

If the starter side of the contactor post isn't grounded when not hot, SV always reads 5V.  kurt Rutkowski explained what to do on your other post: http://dynonavionics.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1500847635

    SV-D1000 smoked

Yeah. I'd try turning on the SV with the backup battery (holding button one) to see if it was just a wire.

    Missing numbers

Interesting. Maybe you found the altitude limit for the SV ;D Have you seen it a second time. I'd say it was just a glitch that may go away with a SV restart. Especially since the logs are correct.

    Gear Contact

The SV only sees 0-5V. So 30V is read as 5V. The contacts are normally measured as 0-2.5V as nothing and 2.5-5V as something. I see readings of 4.995 on contacts all the time. With the dividing line at 5V this would read nothing when it should be a positive reading. Maybe change the dividing...

    Highway numbers? (e.g. US 1, I-80, SR 52, etc.)

The best reply to that is "unfamiliar". ;) While it's the pilots responsibility to familiarize himself with the airport procedures, some instructions are only useful for the locals. Even if I did have a map with highway numbers on it, I'm better off with my eyes looking outside in a busy...

    Aileron widget

On the same note, is there a way to rename the widget. or create a similar widget for a different purpose? I'm using it for my cowl flap position.

Can Someone Please Help Me Design A Contact Widget

You can want all you want, but wanting won't make it happen. I'm not sure why you bought a Skyview when really you wanted something else. :-? :-? The SV has an excellent motif. You should try and make that work for you. Or rip it out and put in that thing you have in the plane you fly for work...

    Re: SkyView software 15.2.0 PIREP?

I think I read somewhere on this forum that it is a HR problem and that they are working on it. The technical writer in the Dilbert comics is a little temperamental also.  :) :) I'm going to stick with the Dynon products documented or not. Although I have some Garmin products in my plane that...

Can Someone Please Help Me Design A Contact Widget

True. But sometimes there is more satisfaction in the 2.5 hours then the 10 minute part. Think of it as a journey rather than a destination. ;) PS: How is the build going? Got any pictures you can share?

Can Someone Please Help Me Design A Contact Widget

You can maybe trick SV into doing what you want. A few of things you can try. I hid a contact behind the RPM gauge. The RPM number pretty much blocks out the dot. Look for the ECU contact on the screen shot below. Contacts have two states. If you leave the name of one state blank, then no text...

    Fuel Calibration Advice Requested

I don't think you can calibrate both tanks at once, but there is nothing saying that you can't pour twice the amount and let it level out in both tanks to calibrate the one tank. Then do the same with the other. On the other hand it may be a lot easier to block the flow between the tanks just...

Can Someone Please Help Me Design A Contact Widget

Just a suggestion, but the contact name could be DOOR and range one name=OPEN, range 2 name=CLOSED. That would make it easier to understand on the display. c37_p9={ valid=1 name=DOOR id=CONTACT alarm_type=OFF range={...

    Stick tends to 'Pulse'

    Fuel Calibration Advice Requested

The fuel gauge isn't made to handle just two states but the contact widget will. It can have text that reflects the state in addition to the colored dot on the screen. So make one state 4 with a green dot and the other 0 with a red dot (or black dot to indicate empty).

AP pitching up in rough air

This has been solved. The servo started intermittently going off line so I sent it in under an RMA. It was out of warrantee but came back no charge. Component failure was the reason. In comparison, my friend had the trim servo go on his C182. The cost to him was $4200 plus labour. I'm...

Looking for feedback on Skyview and audio options

True. But then, I'm not sure the "keep it simple" philosophy allows for backup. Adding a second radio, an intercom to interface two radios together and a switch to select one over the other seems an awful lot like the complexity the KISS principal is trying to avoid. ;)
