    Also, what is the position of the antenna relative to the headset jacks & rest of the avionics ? Did you use shielded cables for the ph/mic jacks ? Is the shield grounded at the radio or intercom end only ? Jake J

    Just thought I'd add some info here- the Gps is excellent, it'll pick up satellites when Tso'd gps eg Garmin 650 won't. Just thought I'd mention that I have seen a problem with 1 only puck - it was intermittent due to an installer having flexed the wiring too much ( inadvertently of course)...

    That (black screen) may indicate you have lost power to it. Due to the characteristics of the VP-X I'd use a test light between the pwr/gnd pins on the SV connector to determine if there is power there when master is on. I always set both SVs as "always on" in the VPX. Jake J

    Mark You probably have done this but I'd check to see if the serial port settings etc are the same on both units. It may not make a difference but that scenario, with different settings, sure created various issues with a customers dual SV setup until we figured it out by phone :) Jake J

    EricR Gps track offsets are encouraged here by our Aviation Authority, many people do & I've been using it for years. Much harder to have a collision when everyone uses a small track offset between commonly used waypoints & tracks ;) Jake J
